The Advanced Ship Research Center -ASRC- was established which is organized by Perkumpulan Ahli Kelautan Mekanik Ruang Angkasa untuk Ilmuwan-Insinyur in 2014. The society has been registered under Menteri Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia Republik Indonesia under registered no: AHU-00111.60.10-2014. This society is alo called with his nickname as the International Society of Ocean, Mechanical and Aerospace – Scientists and Engineers – by collaboration with academic and research institutions. The ASRC focuses on advanced ship design for transports which is comfortable and efficiencient during operation.

The target of ASRC is gathered the researchers involved in an area of ocean engineering to conduct research and share their expertise and discuss the researches issue. We believe interchangeable of idea between researchers from ocean navigation and aerospace is important because all of the disciplines are sharing related sciences and engineering theories in their respect area. Therefore, we believe this ASRC will able to refresh the research experience of the people in these areas and generate impact for the cross discipline research collaboration and knowledge exchange.
