E-waste is a waste in the form of electronic devices that are not used anymore. One example is the personal computer components (PCs) that have been damaged or already left as an old technology that it can be no longer used. So far, e-waste PCs have not been widely used or recycled for more useful purposes, so its existence tends to be a waste that has the potential to cause pollution. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to do a research for e-waste PC can be processed and reused, one of which can be used as machine prototype computer numerical control (CNC) with three axis which can then be used as a medium for studies. This research begins by designing the physical form of a 3 axis CNC machine with the software Autodesk Inventor device. Then, it was made a prototype machine that part of its components taken from the former PC unused components. As a driving force, the prototype CNC machine used stepper motor combined with Arduino UNO Microcontroller based control system. This machine is then operated with a PC using Universal G-Code Sender and GRBL (Coding Gate) based CNC programming system. With a working area of 42 mm x 42 mm and a 17 mm depth of feed, the prototype CNC machine can eventually be used as a study medium for schools that do not have CNC machines due to their high cost and high maintenance costs.

This paper is researching about the results of the resistance test from fast patrol ships in Indonesia. The test itself describes a series of resistance test of the Fast Patrol Ship model in a Towing Tank. The test has a purpose to predict the resistance and effective horsepower (EHP) of a ship at a certain speed on various knots. Resistance test is done at full load condition, and by making model of ship with scale which is adjusted with Towing Tank capacity at Indonesia Hydrodynamics Laboratory (IHL) - BPPT. The testing itself will use various equipment and instruments such as Trim Meter and Data acquisition tools. The shape and dimension of the model are based on the client’s lines plan and are made of fiberglass / laminated wood. The results are presented in curve form describing the relationship between the velocity of the vessel to the total ship resistance and the ship effective power (EHP) in knots and Kilowatts unit.

University rankings have become a trend to gauge the credibility and quality of the university. The university rating has generated much debate about the usefulness, method and accuracy of the assessment results. There are some institution who issued university rankings such as QS, 4ICU, CWUR and Webometrics. The universities were assessed depending on research indicators and opinion surveys. There are many anomalies in ranking gap values between universities as well some clumsiness of values at certain regions. The inadequacy of those tabulation indicators to assess most universities will look purely for reasons of obvious statistical instability. Statistically, there are three regions of ranking gap values: low, medium and high. Standard deviation of ranking gap values for universities in USA and UK is 6-7, Japan is 16, South Korea is 70, and Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia are no applicable. Those values indicate inconsistency of judgment and invalid and inaccuracy data used in the assessment.
